2023 Halloween
This Halloween in Westlake at Mill Mount was a festive and spooktacular affair! Candy givers eagerly set up at the end of their driveways, creating a delightful trail of treats for our trick-or-treaters who roamed the expertly decorated neighborhood by foot, hayride, and even golf carts. The streets buzzed with excitement as families not only shared the traditional sweets but also extended warm hospitality. Some generous households offered hot dogs, home-brewed beverages, and other adult drinks to parents, creating a social atmosphere that added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. Laughter echoed through the neighborhood as trick-or-treaters gathered their loot, creating cherished memories that will linger long after the Halloween decorations are taken down. In Westlake, our Halloween festivities are more than just collecting candy; they're about building connections, fostering community spirit, and celebrating the joy of the season together.
2023 Holidays
As the year drew to a close, Westlake at Mill Mount embraced the holiday season with an enchanting celebration that went beyond the traditional Christmas festivities. Our lakeside pavilion became a magical haven as an authentic Mr. and Mrs. Claus graced us with their presence. Children and families reveled in the joy of capturing cherished moments with Santa and sharing their heartfelt wishes. Mrs. Claus added a touch of warmth by reading enchanting stories to the little ones. The air was filled with the delightful aroma of hot cocoa and the sweetness of doughnuts, creating a festive ambiance for all to savor. Our neighborhood, adorned with breathtaking holiday decorations, provided a picturesque backdrop to the joyous occasion. In the spirit of giving, Westlake organized a coat and shoe drive, contributing 10 brand new coats and pairs of shoes to the Powhatan Christmas Mother, Suzanne Cline, ensuring that families in need right here in Powhatan County could experience the warmth of the season. This heartwarming blend of community, generosity, and holiday cheer makes Westlake at Mill Mount a truly exceptional place to call home.
